we have managed to error proof 2.00b through extensive testing
on a large variety of uniquely configured systems and through
the comments and suggestions of our registered users. For all
intents and purposes version 2.00b is the user corrected version

Version 2.0 - Battle Grid 1.0 was released to the public on March 25th, 1992.
We at Locatha Ind, were suprised by the response we received
during our first week of release, including several
registrations from overseas countries. With this dramatic
response to Bgrid, we felt it was necessary to reevaluate
Bgrid 1.0 and search for areas that could use or needed
improvements, such as user friendliness, ease of installation,
eliminating the need for fossil drivers, improved graphics,
added game features, and of course music and sound F/X.
Of which, we feel that we have accomplished this with Battle
Grid 2.0.
We started implementing the new features as well as many feature
ideas from our registered sysops on June 1st, 1992. Below is a
list of all new/changed/upgraded features in Battle Grid 2.0.
Internal o Eliminated the need for fossil drivers, and added advanced
communications routines.
o Added a Toggle so that local screen display can be turned off.
o DTI, Data Transfer Intelligence, will now handle data transfer
o Inproved command line, including a 'No Parm' Help screen &
the parameter 'VER' for version of Bgrid.
Graphical o Mech cockpit display, this shows the inside of your mech
and has 3 windows(Left, Right, Foward) from which you can
see out. You can see many things out the windows of your mech.
o Added ability to see an enemy mech out of your cockpit window
if they are adjacent to your mech. This will also show a small
picture of the mech that denotes mech type.
o Mines can now be seen from your cockpit windows.

your mech is facing at all times.

Musical o Mech Cockpit Radio added, this radio accessed using the
'U' command allows you to choose from 6 musical themes
which you would like, if any to play in the background
while you are piloting your mech. The radio can also
adjust the volume of the background music in real time, pick
different selections, play selection, and stop playing.
Now you can enjoy 4 track theme music while playing Bgrid.
o added support for more sound devices, 14 in all, including
Soundblaster, Disney Sound Source, Stero and Mono DACs,
and of course the pc speaker.

of your selected theme music and play over them, after which
the original volume is returned to.
o Bgrid will now play music and/or digital F/X while sending
